I love to travel, and I have been very fortunate the last
few years in that I have been able to go many places. Some of the
towns I have visited are Copenhagen, Denmark - Amsterdam, Holland -
Hamburg and Frankfurt, Germany - Innsbruck, Austria - Zurich, Switzerland -
Paris, France - Barcelona, Spain - Las Vegas, Nevada - Phoenix, Arizona -
Minneapolis, Minnesota - New York City - Lake Havasu, California - Colorado
Springs, Denver,
Black Hawk and Cripple Creek, Colorado - The Rocky Mountains - Dallas, Texas - Nashville,
Tennessee - Seattle, Washington - Sturgis, South Dakota - Oklahoma City and
several points in between these towns. My main reason for going to these
places was to visit friends, see the sights, sample the local cuisine and
patronize the local
pubs.
Nate Hardenbrook, Keith Hawkins, Matt Strolberg (Cash) and I
went to London for the millennia new year celebration. London is where
the Prime Meridian, Greenwhich Village and Big Ben are so it's one of the Meccas for the 2000
celebration. They have been renovating much of the tourist parts of the city and
have built an elaborate dome that opened New Years Day. It was a memorable trip and I
have a
full report below.
Kristin and I went to Seattle July 5, 6, 7 so I have some
pics' of that trip. I plan most of my travel
through http://www.expedia.com. You
can book your flights and hotel rooms and get a map of any city so that you get
a room right where you want it, all from your computer. Some of the air
fares now days are ridiculously cheap, you can go to Europe for less than
$400.00 round trip on the off season, so get out that plastic, get on expedia
and go!
