Kristin and I took a quick trip to Seattle, Washington on July 5-7.  Here's  Dave and Paula at the airport in Minneapolis.  They were a handsome young couple with the fire burning bright.

After a short rest and freshening up at our room, the first thing on the agenda was a gourmet supper at the Space Needle.  The Needle exceeded our expectations.  It's striking to see in person.  The view from the rotating restaurant, high above the city, is breathtaking and the food and wine were first rate.  It was an emotional experience.

Then we walked down to Pioneer Square where we listened to a great, raw open jam session.  We met Miss Lily Savanah and listened to her sing some tough soundin' blues.  There were several other talented performers but Lily was the brightest star of the night.

A few stops at some other pubs and a little walking around had us thinking about a comfy bed so we took a cab back to the Inn and spent a little time on the outdoor terrace overlooking the sea in the moonlight.  Soon we were in our room and sound asleep.
