I swear when Jim Morrison wrote the song roadhouse blues, he was singin' about the Odessa Bar.  About six feet North of Highway 30 in Odessa, seven miles West of Kearney, NE, the Odessa Bar is located at the exact center of the historic Lincoln Highway that linked San Francisco to New York in the early twentieth century.  An authentic roadhouse with a rich history, the Odessa bar, a reminder of a time before Interstate Highway systems ruled, is home for many of the locals as well as those who just want to get out of Kearney for a few hours. 
      

Gillie & Sally Vasquez not only own Gillie's but the Odessa bar as well.  This is their daughter-in-law Angie.
